Se questo è l’ultimo giorno del più ricco del mondo divenuto grazie ai computer ed al software, bhe riesce difficile pensare che Bill Gates ed il socio Steve Ballmer siano riusciti da soli a creare quello che una delle più grandi compagnie al mondo, dal video emerge tutt’altra natura che quella del genio dell’informatica … quella comica, ma gli va riconosciuto comunque il merito di sapersi mettere in gioco

Yahoo and Google Set to Circle the Wagons Against Microsoft Takeover

In fact, although Yahoo and Google are direct competitors, the two Silicon Valley-based companies do have a network of high-level personal connections that could help to make this initiative work for the benefit of both companies, as well as to working Microsoft’s detriment.
NewsVisual decided to create an IntellectSpace Knowledge Map in order to illustrate the personal connections of Yahoo’s and Google’s Board of Directors.

The Knowledge Map shows that two of Yahoo’s Directors have links to four of Google’s Directors through three organizations.

More specifically, Yahoo CEO/Director Jerry Yang is connected to Google’s Co-Founders/Co-Presidents/Directors Larry Page and Sergy Brin through Stanford University, where all three pursued advanced degrees as graduate students.

Half A Million Microsoft-Powered Sites Hit With SQL Injection

A new SQL injection attack aimed at Microsoft IIS web servers has hit some 500,000 websites, including the United Nations, UK Government sites and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. While the attack is not Microsoft’s fault, it is unique to the company’s IIS server.

The automated attack takes advantage to the fact that Microsoft’s IIS servers allow generic commands that don’t require specific table-level arguments. However, the vulnerability is the result of poor data handling by the sites’ creators, rather than a specific Microsoft flaw …

Google Maps Follows Microsoft …

The inimitable phenomenon known as internal combustion is responsible for many unappealing things that plague the globe. Industrial waste. War. Virtual torrents of angels’ tears. But none is more a challenge to the progress of the human race than the creeping, crawling, abhorrent thing we call roadway traffic. Yes, bumper-to- bumper is in fact the ultimate bane of society, and the engineers at Google Maps have seen their users within the American citizenry rage long enough in contention with slow-going bottlenecks. Those in Mountain View have decided to stir the technological cauldron some more as of late, and have now come out with a new feature for drivers 30+ metropolitan areas looking to get from A to B in as few minutes as possible. Enter, Google Maps traffic prediction.

Yes, not only will Google explain to Maps users what’s happening at the moment they step out the door from home, school, or the office, it will now serve people in and around over 30 US cities with hour-to-hour traffic predictions for specially customized directions, according to Ionut Alex Chitu of Google Operating System.

Mind you, this isn’t the first we’ve seen a technology giant offer such detailed traffic analysis for no charge to the consumer. Only last week Microsoft introduced an AI system atop its Live Maps service, dubbed Clearflow, which, in effect, delivers a similar result …

Non tutti lo usano e molti ne conoscono appena l’esistenza, tra tutti i software e programmi che la Microsoft ha creato negli ultimi tempi questo con molta probabilità è quello che più si avvicina alla Rete ed al mondo dei blogger.

Si usa come un normale editor della famiglia Windows e può essere usate per pubblicare direttamente sulle piattaforme blog più popolari e diffuse come Blogger e WordPress, l’uso nel caso di WordPress è sorprendentemente semplice, una volta indicati user name e password Live Writer è pronto a pubblicare i vostri post,

ma la cosa più importante è che si potranno scrivere offline e pubblicare in pochi istanti o salvare in locale nel vostro PC, in fine consente la gestione di più blog separati quindi è possibile usarlo per gestire più blog e volendo su piattaforme diverse senza problemi, di sicuro da provare.

Digg sceglie Microsoft

E’ la più importante comunità news on-line, che a quanto pare Google si è fatta portar via da Microsoft, con una media di oltre 15milioni di visitatori al mese è una bel boccone ghiotto per la pubblicità on-line, attualmente Digg è sotto contratto con Google e presto passerà a Microsoft con il quale ha stipulato il prossimo contratto, per ora non si sanno i termini dello stesso ma si può immaginare che sia un bel contratto.

Lo stesso Jay Adelson direttore esecutivo di Digg ha dichiarato di aver esaminato le proposte fatte da Yahoo, Microsoft e Google ed ha scelto Microsoft come prossimo fornitore di pubblicità on-line in quanto l’offerta era molto più interessante, senza dubbio un colpo non facile da digerire per Goolge il quale ha sostenuto Digg fino ad oggi, nel prossimo futuro quindi non vedremo più gli annunci Google ma quelli di Microsoft … e la guerra dei motori continua
