Si tratta di una distribuzione GNU/Linux tra le più famose in circolazione dei Live-Cd, creata Klaus Knopper dal quale prende anche il nome Knoppix ha ispirato altre famose distribuzioni come Gnoppix, che al posto di KDE presenta il Desktop Environment GNOME, questa distribuzione è una delle più complete, di seguito un estratto dal sito:

I requisiti minimi non li menzioniamo nemmeno, i computer degli ultimi 6 anni sono minimo 10 volte più potenti del necessario
